Yes I am still alive
No I don’t have a real good reason for why I haven’t been posting other then the ambigious “Life” answer
Sorry, this is gonna be a short one
Wanted to get some feet under somthing I just learned about, hopefully to get some movement on message dissemination about this quite odd, somewhat scary report I just read from DHS
Granted I have not read the entire thing yet (you can only multi-task so much in an econ class) so i may be posting a giant redaction later but I really don’t see that as likely. Anyways…down to buscuits. DHS just came with a report intitled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.”
The reason why this is both odd and scary is because it cites no specific groups. The argument goes like this. I’ll try not to make it sounds like a bitchy conservative.
- The Government is singling out the republican party by citing “right-wing” groups as a national security threat
- Well no that is not the case because DHS has done reports on “left-wing” groups as well
- In that case, argument over…bitter conservative shut down
- Well no that is not the case, because when DHS made reports on “left-wing” groups, it was just that; a report on groups. Groups such as ELF, ALF, and other eco-terrorist groups who have been documented and charged with vandalization, destruction of porperty and inciting violence were written about. The reports on the left-wing threats were actual terrorists…people who went as far as to call THEMSELVES eco-terrorists.
- The Right-Wing report is simply about the danger of the growing radicalization of the right-wing movement in the US. The problem with this arises from the fact that “terrorists” groups are not cited for specific acts, the percieved threat comes from an interpretation of “radicalization”. The “danger” we face from these groups is being defined by a department’s interpretation of the dissenting minority.
Bonus recipients were taxed 91% because of a pitchfork mob in congress using passion over reason, a CEO was effectively fired by the government because it did not like the job he was doing, the voice of the dissenting minority is being labled as “radicalized” and “potentially dangerous”. This is like calling all muslim’s terrorists (and if I am not misaken it was the democratic party who led the charge on raising that distinction) I am no conspiracy theorist but 2 points make a line…I just gave you three.
Wasn’t it the liberals who were burning effigies of the president in the street during the bush years? Chanting down with the president? Don’t think I have seen anyone burn a stuffed Obama yet. But alas I am wrong…a forlorn conservative jaded by the bitterness which comes with assuming the minority position. Hypocrisy and double standards do not exist in the new era of government…CHANGE!
